Chris Williamson CDC

Casting Director & Founder

Chris has been casting real people and actors across Canada and the U.S. for over a decade and a half, and has worked professionally in both scripted and unscripted media production for twice that time. He’s contributed to the selection of hundreds of reality television participants, experts, judges, and hosts for hit series like Sugar Showdown, Canada’s Worst Driver, and Dragons’ Den, and has cast compelling actors and real people for a range of arresting ad campaigns. Chris’ work as a researcher, producer, director, and former actor gives him a rich understanding of both clients’ and subjects’ goals and a diverse array of tools to achieve them. He is a member of the Casting Directors Society of Canada.

How We Work

Real People Casting creates a bespoke strategy for every project, solving the toughest casting challenges in record time. Our work spans commercials, branded content, print campaigns, corporate videos, scripted and unscripted video projects, and television series. We’ve worked with most broadcast and cable networks and many of the biggest agencies in the business including BBDO, J. Walter Thompson, and Cossette.

The same sensitivity, creativity, and doggedness we use to find extraordinary real people is applied to our search for brilliant, under-the-radar acting talent. We conduct specialized research and outreach that larger agencies just don’t have time for, leveraging our massive database of contacts across North America while simultaneously digging high and low to find personalities that are fresh and real.

Real people and actors

who are anything but ordinary.
